Wonderful interview...but what I like most was Roberto's feelings about how to sell the wine....having contact with the potential buyers so they can put a face with the wine...being able to explain to an individual about the wine...and then I believe that they become a long term customer...not just buying a bottle and that is all.

It's true that comments were made distancing Roederer Cristal from rap and hip-hop culture. There are two possible reasons why these comments were made: 1. Rap music has included the glorification of rape, homophobia, murder, vulgarity and violence towards women in a party-culture where Cristal is poured down drains or over semi-naked women; and Roederer doesn't like this kind of image. 2. Racism!!!!!!! Of course some people's brains are more comfortable reaching for option 2.
